Hatha yoga is an umbrella term that refers to one of the eight branches of yoga. Literally translated “effort,” “force,” or “exertion,” Hatha yoga utilizes physical postures, breath work, locks, etc. to prepare the body for the more spiritual pursuits like meditation. Each week we will have a different focus and draw from several of these disciplines.
Classes are suitable for all levels and are designed with specific issues and general body balancing in mind, but are geared mostly toward beginner and intermediate students.
Please contact us prior to attending a class if you have questions or are dealing with any physical limitations, so we may direct and prepare you for your first class.
