Janet Calhoun a degree in Entomology from UC Davis, and her life long interest in native plants and insects brought her to the UCCE Master Gardener Program. Graduating in 2009, she has become a fixture at the Master Gardener’s Help Desk and a “go to” person for insect identification questions from other Master Gardeners.
Scientist are showing an increasing interest in the role native bees and other pollinators play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem and can support agriculture, and Janet will bring you up to speed on the landscape environment that best supports these industrious pollinators.
