In honor of Women's History Month, we are celebrating some notable female artists who worked at The Walt Disney Studios. Gyo Fujikawa began her Disney career working as a promotional artist designing a variety of Fantasia-themed consumer products. When the US entered World War II, Walt relocated Fujikawa to New York City to protect her from being sent to a relocation camp. After the war, she had a prolific career illustrating and writing over 50 children's books, becoming one of the first children's book illustrators to receive royalties for their work.
