Visit Detroit is searching for a creative, social media savvy, self-starter to join our team as our Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing Detroit’s brand and messaging on our social platforms. This position also engages with our audience and moderates our social community. The ideal candidate is relentlessly positive, a strong “project finisher”, detail-oriented and passionate about sharing Detroit with the world. Candidates with experience working in an advertising / marketing communications organization and relevant hands-on experience managing social platforms are preferred.
Convention Services Manager
Visit Detroit is hiring a Convention Services Manager to provide assistance to meeting management professionals with local arrangements necessary to facilitate an effective event in metropolitan Detroit and offer services to maximize the fulfillment of Visit Detroit’s mission. The Convention Services Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, implementing, and managing of assigned special projects, events, and programs, including attendance promotions, hospitality and other programs as developed. The ideal candidate will have meeting and event planning experience in the hotel and/or convention center space in the metro Detroit market.
