Happy Thursday, beautiful people! Hope your day has been well, and that yesterday was a day of graceful learning. Remember that even on the hardest days, it is best for us to always thank our ancestors and guides for their help in aligning us with our higher purposes. To implement some clear communication and a sense of enabling our patrons to speak their truths, whatever they may be, we asked for the energy of Mugwort and Onyx to assist us in our opening ceremony.

Onyx is a variety of Chalcedony and a member of the Quartz family. It is a stone of strength, endurance, persistence, and focus. It emanates the energy of self-mastery and is good for those looking to increase their self-control. Black Onyx stimulates the root chakra and is good for grounding and connecting with the Earth’s electromagnetic field. Both white and black onyx is emotionally neutral. Overall, Onyx is a great stone for fostering clear focus, strong discipline, perseverance, and high efficiency.

Mugwort is part of the daisy family (Asteracea) and a topical anesthetic with antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is also commonly used as a sacred smudging herb for protection and for divination. Keeping Mugwort under your pillow or in your bedroom can encourage prophetic and lucid dreams. Mugwort is also used in protective sachets, especially those created in relation to travel. It is said to prevent delays, and other annoyances associated with traveling, as well as to protect the traveler from accidents, thieves and other dangers associated with traveling. When used in a tea it is a diuretic and induces sweating. Regulates menstruation, helps with menopausal symptoms. Promotes appetite and can be used for bronchitis, colds, colic, kidney ailments, fevers.
