On February 3, Salem Maritime hosted a training for the reenactor volunteers working on celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Thanks to Minute Man NHP, the lectures were streamed over Facebook Live, and are still available, including this lecture by our curator, Dr. Emily Murphy. Dr. Murphy spoke on spinning bees and other forms of resistance by white women during the years before the battle of Lexington and Concord.
