Today in 1918: Deere and Co. purchased the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company. John Deere originally made plows and implements—purchasing the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Co. springboarded them into tractor sales.
Today, the Waterloo Boy tractor is on display in the museum.
