Pastrami Joe's Deli – Now-that doesn't sound like a big deal right?
We wanted to make an announcement today because Pallister Killian Syndrome is a rare chromosome disorder affecting fewer than 500 people in the world.
Now-that doesn't sound like a big deal right? Well, we think it is
December 4th was chosen as PKS Awareness Day because PKS cause those affected to be born with 4 copies of part of chromosome 12 and people with PKS generally have global delays, vision and hearing impairments, seizures, and weakened immune systems.
We are taking 30% of our sales on DECEMBER 5TH and donating them to PKS Awareness. The funds raised will go to offer grants to families to help with expenses, provide money for research, and to host families at medical conferences.
You can also make a donation to PKS Kids at www.pks.com
As always, thank you for dining with us here at Pastrami Joe's Deli because we couldn't imagine a better supportive and community atmosphere in either Marshall or Battle Creek!
